CAYLEE (Owner)
Caylee is the sole owner of Hype Hair Studio. She brings over 15 years of experience to the table and is one of the best colourists in town. Caylee is a part of the L’Oreal Professionnel Artistic team. She is a master colourist, and has 13 years as a Educator and Platform artist. She is also certified to do Great Length hair extensions. You have probably seen one or two of Caylee’s baby blondes, rich brunettes and sparkly redheads prancing around and wondered: Could that shiny, bouncy hair really be coloured? Yes, yes it can and you too can have it! And you don’t have to stop at brilliant colour! Feel like getting a funky, fashion forward cut? Want your hair styled using the old fashioned finger wave technique favoured by the 40s pinups? Maybe, just a Bardot- esque bouncy, come hither bed head look is your cup of tea? No problem. Caylee can literally do ANYTHING. Her supreme skill and obvious passion for hair have taken her to some of the most fashionable cities in the world such as, LA, Chicago and Paris, where she was able to showcase her unparalleled talent. Inspired by travel and one of her other passions, fashion, you can always trust that Caylee is updated with the most current and up to date trends.
SANDY
Sandy brings with over 15 years of experience, an air of professionalism and a clear knowedge of cut and color to the Hype team. Motivated by the satisfaction she has when clients look and feel their best, you can trust Sandy is informed on all of the how to’s and what not’s the industry regularly comes out with. With fashion at the forefront of her inpsirational drive, her ideas are as fresh as the new season. Specializing in evening and bridal hair, Sandy is your go to if a hot event is pressing for even hotter hair. Whether it is the classics we know and love or messy buns with a randomly placed braid – a trend that appears is here to stay, Sandy has mastered the up do and the evening. As for you brides out there unsure of the updo you are looking for, your ideas and Sandy’s mastery of elaborate curls, sleek shiny twists, and soft loops will craft a look as exqusite and unique as your wedding.
TRISH
Trish is one of Hypes most senior and experienced stylists. With over a decade of creating trend setting, individually unique hair, her expertise is immediately made apparent as she creates, at impressive speed, fabulous cuts and colours that simply wow. With skill in all areas concerning hair, Trish can transform you from wild to whimsical, or depending on your preference, the other way around. Her charisma never fails to impress, so while you are having what seems to be the most interesting chat you have had all week, Trish will deliver a cut so fierce, color so rich that will send you home wanting to tell the Hype secret.
SABRINA
A highly experienced stylist with extensive training in formulating colour in a variety of different lines. Coming to see Sabrina means you will get that perfect hue. Dedicated to precision work, Sabrina’s natural talent and aptitude for hair have been recognized by the Aveda school, where she received 2 awards for her performance. As a stylist, this talent and an infectious charisma have secured her loyal clientele. Sabrina’s dynamic scope is precisely what makes her a cutting edge stylist. CHLOE
With well over a decade of providing hair services to clients, Chloe is one of Hype’s most experienced stylists. Chloe’s creative personality transfers into her work, and this range is her greatest asset as a stylist. So whether you are coveting the hair of a celebrity, a rock star, math teacher, or the queen, trust that Chloe’s competence of variety will bring your hopes to life. If on the other hand you are opposite the particular client who compares and contrasts with today’s big names and really have no clue what you want- you will see some direction upon meeting Chloe. Her tresses are the talk of the town and the envy of customers and staff alike. Her warm and forthcoming nature will deliver past a pleasant experience at a salon, it means she will likely give away 1 or 2 or 5 secrets about what it is that makes her hair so noticeable.
NITRA
Helping others feel their best can take many forms. Nitra has mastered several. With a strong passion and unmistakable talent for hair, Nitra wow’s new and recurring clients time and time again. Ensuring people feel empowered and new through change is the driving force of Nitra’s art. Working part time for Hype and part time for non-profit organizations, Nitra has created remarkable transformations from producing hair as unique as her clients to kick starting careers in hair for some of the underprivileged women of Thailand. Her dynamic talents are vast, her interests even more so, but her skill of hair is infinite.
SHALON
Shalon brings over 10 years experience to Hype Hair Studio, including countless high fashion runway shows and weddings. Her head turning creations have ignited accolade from Vancouver’s busy professionals and hard to please brides. A stylist who is constantly evolving and developing her skills, you can trust Shalon with a small change, a transformation or a desperate need for a color correction. Shalon’s creativity stretches outside the normal constraints of typical styles, she loves to work closely with you share the vision of the perfect look best suited for the individual you are. Shalon specializes in weddings and bridal hair, whether it is at your location or at Hype Hair Studio, she is ready to create the perfect styles for you and your party on your memorable day.
JESSICA
Jessica can help you find your perfect style, whether it’s trendy and funky or something for the modern working Vancouverite. She loves keeping things creative and ensuring your style is never dull. Jessica has completed International training in Berlin, successfully competed in multiple colour competitions and continues to stay up to date with styles and techniques with ongoing L’Oreal professionel, Aveda and technical training. Jessica also specializes in updo’s and styles for special occasions and has experience in creating unforgettable high fashion runway and fashion editorial looks. Whether you are looking for a new style, a bold colour, soft highlights or a complete transformation, Jessica loves to see her clients leave the salon with a renewed sense of confidence and head turning style.
VANYA
Vanya brings a special, unique European style to Hype Hair Studio. Originally from Bulgaria, she is motivated to offer creative cuts, colours and styles to provide the perfect look to suit each clients personal style. She is passionate about sustainable beauty, keeping health and the environment in mind when selecting products and solutions tailored to each client. Vanya enjoys working with clients that are also interested in a sustainable lifestyle and educates her clients on maintaining beautiful healthy hair. Long hair is a focus for Vanya, as she understands what long hair lovers are looking for in strengthening, maintaining and growing long hair. Vanya also loves working with curly hair, from enhancing naturally curly hair to helping clients learn to style hard to manage curls. In addition to curly hair, Vanya focuses on technical, precise cutting techniques to provide stand out hair styles to her clients. Education is an ongoing part of Vanya’s career as well, she continually participates in professional training workshops and courses to enhance her skills and stay up to date with trends and techniques. Vanya is out and about in our community providing eye catching styles at various editorial photo shoots, fashion events, runway shows and more!
